an art history lesson by thefaded:
some douchebag named Piet Mondrian in the early 1930s made a bunch of these fucking gay ass compositions and called them “art.”
Van Gogh made art. Picasso made art. Michelangelo made art, but this fucking guy takes a few colors and puts them in blocks around each other and becomes famous for it. Hey, Piet, I know you’re dead and everything now, but still, fuck. you.
The worst part isn’t even the pieces themselves, it’s the fucking dumbass people who like this shit. They claim it is a masterpiece of minimalism and de stijl, but it’s just fucking squares.
They try and give all sorts of bullshit infused explanations and even come up with ridiculous hypothesis’ about why this is so important and how amazing it is, but what they fail to realize is it’s just. fucking. squares. a child could’ve put this shit together.
Michelangelo studied the human anatomy for years before carving his David, so as to get it as perfect as possible. He carved it out of marble, made it 17 feet tall and weighed over 6 tons and he did it in fucking 1501. FIFTEEN OH FUCKING ONE. FUCK YOU!
fuck you Piet Mondrian, and fuck even harder the people so full of shit who appreciate this gayness.
this has been an art history lesson provided by thefaded.but this piece has to do with the Fibonacci sequence you know that right… one of the most important things to exist.
i think the op has completely missed the point of abstraction
